How to Catch a Ball Well

Got a case of the dropsies? This tutorial will help you hold onto the ball.

STEPS

Warm up. Do things like lightly throwing the ball in the air, then seeing how many times you can clap without catching it.
Get a partner to play catch with; stand approximately 10 strides away from each other if you're not so bad at it, 6 strides if you're not so good.
Throw the ball gently to each other, allowing 0-1 bounces in between.
See how many times you can throw it to each other, each time getting higher and higher.
Practice until you are perfect.

TIPS

Practice! Practice! Practice!
Cup your hands when catching a ball.
Warm up first.
If you don't have a partner, throw a ball of a wall and try catching it (a tall wall mind you).
Watch the ball closely and know if your going out of bounds (if your in a game). Stand tall. If you are playing football, catch in it and fall down. If playing basketball, do the same but throw it back before you fall.
